Opensource Coolant Sensors

Fusion Add-Ins

Currently Designing and developing a suite of IIoT sensors for monitoring coolant in CNC machines.
Currently in development is a "sensorPack" that will monitor coolant level and temperature.
"coolantBrix" is next up for development and will measure coolant concentration.
All CAD files and software will be provided under MIT and Apache open source licenses.
Working on a dedicated webpage that will document the build.

About Me

Hi, I’m Kevin Strom—a CNC Prototyping Engineer who loves building things, solving problems, and figuring out how to make cool ideas a reality. With over 9 years of experience in advanced machining, CAD/CAM processes, and rapid prototyping, I’ve worked on everything from aerospace components to custom tools, always finding new ways to improve efficiency and precision. Whether it’s programming multi-axis CNC machines, designing prototypes, or using 3D printing to speed things up, I’m all about hands-on innovation.

Recently, I decided to go back to school to dive deeper into robotics and embedded systems. I’ve always been fascinated by how hardware and software work together, and I want to take my skills to the next level by learning how to design smarter, more integrated systems. It’s been exciting to explore new tech and push myself in a whole new direction.

When I’m not working or studying, I’m probably messing around with a Raspberry Pi project, brainstorming my next DIY build, or just geeking out over the latest tech. Feel free to check out my projects, and if you want to chat or collaborate on something fun, I’d love to hear from you!
